How to become a Member
Request Information
To become a member of the Arkabutla Volunteer Fire Department you must:
1. Live in our fire district for at least 6 months.
2. Be at least 16 years old.
3. Have someone on the department that is willing to sponsor you if under 18 years of age.
If you are not sure whether or not you live in our district, ask one of our firemen.
Once you have a sponsor on the department, they will get an application for you.
Applicants under 18 years old are considered Junior Firemen and can only participate in certain type calls.
